When you release backorders, iMIS applies the product received in stock to items with a backorder status based on the Priority entered for the order. This is displayed in both the Back and Ship fields on the Overview tab of the Enter and edit orders window. You have several methods that you can use to release backorders:
■ Release backorders by posting product receipts
■ Release backorders after printing shipping papers
■ Release backorders by editing open orders
■ Release backorders manually
